Karma, Responsibility, and the Choice to Forgive

Everything we experience in life has a reason.
Not because life is doing something to us, but because life is responding through us.
Karma is often misunderstood. It isn’t punishment or fate. Karma is action… divine law giving us the results of what we think, say, and do.
Every person who stands in front of us, every situation that triggers us, is offering information. If there were nothing to learn, nothing unresolved, it wouldn’t disturb us at all.
No one comes into our life by accident.
We are born into the families we are born into for a reason. They are often our greatest places of growth… not because they are easy, but because they bring us face-to-face with what still needs healing.
Karma isn’t about blame. It’s about responsibility.
When we believe someone is doing something to us, we stay stuck. When we begin to see that everything is happening for us, something shifts. Our perception changes. The world softens.
Healing begins the moment we stop looking outward for someone to blame and start noticing what is being reflected back to us.
This doesn’t mean bypassing pain or pretending something didn’t hurt. It means staying present with what’s here… without turning it into a story about someone else being at fault.
Forgiveness enters as a process, not all at once, but in layers. Unresolved karma carries forward until it is met with awareness and love.
When we take responsibility with honesty and compassion, something loosens. That loosening is the reward.
And if we forget, we can always choose again.
